C.R.A.F.T. #14: Canvas Fashion

February 24, 2010 By Jamie Dorobek 7 Comments

Easy dorm room decorations

These are all recycled canvases. I just paint right over them when I need a change! I used scraps of fabric I had laying around…. so this project was 100% free.

1: Paint the canvases, then use tape to tape off the borders and paint the borders
2: Next decide on your outfits 🙂
3: Paint on a shirt (you could use a paint pen) I just used a small paint brush
4: Fold over a little piece of fabric to create a skirt and hot glue it on the canvas, just at the band, so the skirt stays looking full!
5: I used beads and/or ribbons to make belts and necklaces (the orange canvas is a dress, that was a lot more difficult then the skirts!)
6: Next, I used a black ball point pen to create hangers and outline the shirts

Here are 16 more cute and creative ways to decorate your dorm room on a budget!

    Hi

You blog is delightful. It truly is. And I was in fact wondering how much your talent will help educating and intervening into a child. And whoa! I read your profile where it says you are a special educator. So am I! All the best for the future. You have found a regular follower in me 🙂
