C.R.A.F.T.’s Full Disclosure

April 5, 2011 By Jamie Dorobek 5 Comments

I have often wondered why blogs have a PR OK/ Disclosure policy statement. I’ve always thought, “Duh, all of the opinions on C.R.A.F.T. are mine, and obviously I only blog about things I think are super duper cool. Why in the world would I waste my time blogging about something I didn’t think was awesome?”  Well, silly me… I recently discovered that it is the law! See more info HERE. So, without further ado…
full disclosure
Full Disclosure:
  • C.R.A.F.T. is a blog, written and edited by me, Jamie Smith. C.R.A.F.T.’s first purpose was solely for me and a few friends…I wanted one, simple place to store all of my DIY/ craft related ideas. I soon discovered the plethora of amazing DIY/craft related ideas on other blogs and websites. C.R.A.F.T.’s current goal is to share and inspire creativity in everyone, while saving the planet and our wallets! I Create Really Awesome [mostly] Free Things for your home, wardrobe, kitchen, and kids.
  • According to Darren Rouse, now is the time for me to explain how I make money. I wish I had more to explain! I really can’t complain because I truly love sharing thrifty, DIY ideas and inspiration with who ever will listen or uhh…read. Not to mention, my most favorite form of compensation…comments and emails 🙂 Thank you, ladies, for validating my love to create!
  • I  do accept products, services, or gift cards in exchange for advertising or social media announcements. But, as always…I only post about Creating Really Awesome Free Things or ideas that I LOVE! I will make it clear in the post, if I receive any form of compensation. {I got a free Silhouette…and it has changed my crafting life. I can honestly highly recommend this machine to y’all! See, that is how this works!}
  • C.R.A.F.T. will never be influenced by any form of compensation. Ever. Like I said before, this blog was originally just for me. I’m certainly not going to waste my precious time on things I don’t think are  a w e s  o m e.
  • I like to share the love, so feel free to use any of my images as long as you link back to my site! Please don’t copy and paste full posts without prior permission.
  • If you have any other questions about C.R.A.F.T. feel free to email me at craftaway {at} gmail {dot} com

And since it is the law, get your own full disclosure policy… Check out this multiple choice/fill in the blank form @ Disclosure Policy.

I used Darren Rouse’s post on screamingly effective blog disclosure policy and Laurie’s @ Tip Junkie as a model for my lovely new policy!

    I don't have a disclosure policy – but I add a disclaimer to all my reviews – whether I receive free product or not. Does that count? Hmmmm…
