Vintage Bird Inspired Baby Shower

September 27, 2011 By Jamie Dorobek 3 Comments

Annie, Leah, and friends threw a super sweet, vintage inspired, peach and gray, bird baby shower with lots of personal touches and cute details… Perfect for the Pretty Parties Series. There was even a photo booth with all kinds of props and chalkboard signs!

The hostesses… in the photobooth… showing off some of the props! Check out this post for free photo booth printables.

It was a brunch…check out the cute tulle ball garland dangling on the front of the food table and yarn balls on top of the table 🙂 Annie says Elmer’s glue works way better to make yarn balls than Stiffy’s fabric stifner!

The food card holders are corks wrapped in yarn with a small knife slit down the middle…

 I love mint chocolate anything…

A new twist on an old favorite…mimosas! Melting popsicles and champagne (or Sprite 🙂 YUM!

Annie decided to do a similar version of the Who’s Who baby shower game. Instead of making it a game with prizes, she used it more as a conversation starter. She had everyone email her their baby pictures before the shower and printed them out. She also had a list of shower attendees pinned up so guests could match names with pictures. See the sparkly clothespins below.

The clothes pins were cure and sparkly 🙂 Thanks to Martha Stewart glitter!

They also printed a sweet 5×7 tree and had everyone “leaf” a thumbprint and sign their name. This little memento will be framed and used in the babies room. See 25 unique guest book ideas if you’re looking for more fun ideas.

How cute is the purple yarn wrapped letter V for Vivian?

As for party favors, everyone took home a strawberry short cake in a jar. How cute is that? They even mod podged the lids of all the jars and added a copper heart.

And last, but not least, here were the invitations from Sassy Photo Creations. Of course Annie had to add a tail feather and a rhinestone.

What was your favorite detail? Have you ever done or thought about doing a photo booth at a party? I think that is such a fun idea!
