C.R.A.F.T. #9: Yarn Web

February 17, 2010 By Jamie Dorobek 4 Comments

Cute dorm room ideas

Perfect for a kids bedroom or playroom…or my college apartment! All you need is a ball of chenille yarn, tacks or small nails, and of course wonderful treasure to put in your web!

One great thing about this project, is you can make it fit your space perfectly. If you did not want to directly put holes in your wall, you could do the same thing on a piece of board. I choose to put holes directly in my wall.

So first, decide how big you want your rectangle.

Second, mark the corners of your rectangle with a tacks.

Third, fill in the rectangle with tacks about 5 in. apart. (Put the tacks on in a random pattern, you want a web!)

Next, tie the yarn to one of the corner tacks and begin webbing the yarn around the other tacks.

Now, just place your pictures, postcards, and art all over your web! VOILA. DONE.

This is a fantastic idea! I can't wait to try it out! I've been looking for a way to hang up pictures without actually buying a boat load of frames. This is really creative and visually attractive. Thank you for sharing!
