Our Father’s Day Tradition

Father’s Day is right around the corner and I wanted to share my Father’s Day trick… errr… I mean Father’s day gift idea for my husband. I say trick because I don’t know if this is Andy’s idea of the perfect gift, but I think it is the cutest thing in history of ever. So, basically I just turned Father’s day into Mother’s day and you should too, ha!

Our Father’s Day Tradition

I buy Andy and Maxwell matching t-shirts, and last year Mila got in on the action. I’m not totally a terrible wife, I always (the last 3 years) pair the matching t-shirts with a gift certificate for a massage. (If you live in Austin, Mantis Massage has been our go to for over 4 years!)

The Best Father's Day Tradition

Andy’s 1st Father’s Day

The “Lettuce Turnip the Beet” t-shirts you see in the picture above was the first set I bought when Maxwell was just 3 months old. (This is not a sponsored post, I’m just obsessed with Dad and kid twinning!) I got these tees from the coup etsy store.

Andy’s 2nd Father’s Day

I searched and searched, and finally decided on these adorable Little Dipper/ Big Dipper t-shirts from the Blackbird Supply Co. It’s harder than you might think to find hip matching father/ kid t-shirts that Andy will actually want to wear again and again. Part of the trick is Andy wanting to wear the t-shirt all of the time. That way when I see him put it on in the morning, I can sneak the matching t-shirts on Maxwell and Mila, and bam… “random” twinning all day, everyday!

Fun Father's Day Tradition

Andy’s 3rd Father’s Day

For Andy’s 3rd Father’s Day, I took a short cut, and went back to Lettuce Turnip the Beet tees.  I seriously love these tee’s and this time around, I only needed to buy 1 to complete the set. Mila could wear Max’s old one and Andy already had the tee. So, I only bought one t-shirt for Maxwell.

Father's Day Tradition

Andy’s 4th Father’s Day

This year, I ordered a new t-shirt set and I’m obsessed! I got The Original, The ENcore, and The REmix from KaAn’s Designs.  How cute are they? I know I’m biased, but come on!

Andy’s 5th Father’s Day

Pizza is always a winner in our house, so these t-shirts were perfect! These super cute pizza t-shirts are from Xeno Tees.

Father's Day Tradition

I hope we can keep this tradition up for years to come. Can you imagine the cuteness of all 18 matching Father’s Day pictures at Maxwell and Mila’s high school graduation party?!

Handmade Google Father's Day Card

Father’s Day is June 18th! Order matching tees now and thank me later. Oh and I do have 3 free printable Father’s Day cards that go with things like lottery tickets and Pop Rocks, if you’re looking for a cute card too. Or my favorite hand made card is the World’s Best Dad Google card in the picture above. After all, if Google says it’s true, everyone believes it!

I love these! I’m going to do something similar for my husband with a “You’re killing me smalls” shirt and “smalls” and “extra smalls” shirts for the kids. Totally loving your gift this year!
