How to brace a small plant

July 19, 2011 By Jamie Dorobek 5 Comments

How to brace a small plant…
I’m pretty sure Earl is responsible for this situation. That squirrel is on a rampage destroying my potted plants one at a time. He seriously ripped out all of the ivy in my planters! She used to be such a well behaved squirrel and eat in her house!

At least Earl has not ripped out and thrown the basil over the balcony yet! Instead the  squirrel drinks from the pot (even though we put out a water bowl) and bulldozes the basil stalk down!

The basil had to be moved from its original spot next to the house, because the little monster was eating it… now she just plows it over.

I had to save the basil. Again. All you need is a chop stick and twist tie to fix the problem.

I think the plant will survive!

There will be an Earl update tomorrow.  He’s been bad.

The more you pick your basil the more it will grow. You can take all the leaves off and stick them in a ziploc bag and throw them in your freezer. Then when your make soups or sauces you can throw it in.
