DIY Mother’s Day gifts

April 28, 2014 By Jamie Dorobek 6 Comments

I’m a mom, y’all! Crazy and still a little scary! (Here’s our birth story, if you’re interested!) But, todays post is in honor of my mama! She. loves. iced. tea. Like, drinks it every day, loves it. So, I was pretty excited when given the opportunity to work with Bigelow tea and #CollectiveBias to put together a little Mother’s Day gift basket or uhh… gift pitcher filled with iced tea goodies!

Clever mother's day gift

When I make iced tea, I use 4 packets of tea, and here are my 2 tea making secrets… use a variety of flavors and don’t bother measuring! Mint, green, black, lemon… they all work perfectly together! Oh and at least one mint bag must go in every batch. It’s always surprise tea at our house!

Y’all  know how much I love cheesy printables (remember the valentines day cheesy madness?). So I had to whip up a TEA-rrific printable for mom for her special gift basket. And you can use it too! Just click on the link below, print, glue to card stock, hole punch, and hang from the pitcher! Instant cuteness!

I love that Bigelow tea is a 3-generation family owned, American company! It’s #AmericasTea! Oh and I think it’s awesome that their tea bags come in a foil pouch to seal in freshness!  So, what else can you put in an iced tea gift basket, besides tea and a pitcher? How about:

    • tea towels
    • lemons
    • glasses
    • mixing spoon
    • sugar
    • cute straws

Are you an iced tea lover? Is your mama? I’d love to hear…
