The easiest way to cut the foam board is with a metal ruler and an X-ACTO.  I figured out that one 20×30 piece of foam board will make 150 2in. x 2in.  squares!  You could make 15, 10 square games with a SINGLE piece of foam board! You could do this craft with a whole class or birthday party for a couple of bucks.

Here is my darling crafting partner in deep focus…

I love her sky… It’s the pink square. She wasn’t a fan of making the squares look exactly alike, but as long as we labeled them “flower” or “bird” she could make them as different as she wanted!

Then, of course, we played! And she won… Twice!

Just so you know the memory card underneath the sky card in the upper left hand corner is a magic Christmas tree… Gotta love a kid’s imagination!

I’ve made another version of memory out of balsa wood. Foam board memory game was much easier as far as cutting the pieces goes! Speaking of games, Annie thinks we need to have a “Game of Love” theme for the celebration of Love. Some people might call it a wedding!
