My dad claims I was really good at the memory game as a kid. He likes to say it was because I was 4 and had nothing else to worry about and clog my little brain! I like to think I was a genius 🙂 We had the animal family version, which was a little trickier because the pairs were not exact.I had a lot of memory games, but this one was my fave:
This is the point of my tangent, I made a little memory game with PSA Stamps, leftover balsa wood (from this project), the Silhouette, and some map pencils.
You can get balsa wood at Hobby Lobby…it goes half off often…

I used my craft saw to cut the pieces… and then sanded the sides of the piece.
I used the Silhouette to cut the circles, and then stamped the circles with the animal stamp… and colored them with map pencils. (i love map pencils!)
I also thought this could be a fun option for kids. They could make up their own scenes. Mix and match whatever they’re feeling.
What do you think? Are you good at memory? What was your favorite child hood game? (I’ve always loved board games, puzzles, and cards!) Do your kids like non computer games?I think this would be a fun Christmas gift for a kid 🙂
The possibilities of this is endless!
So cute! Absolutely love this idea! I love how these will hold up for longer!
Oh my gosh! This is so cute! I'm pinning it onto my kid's Christmas gift ideas. Thanks so much for sharing!
I had this EXACT game as a child and I loved it! Thanks for the crafty idea. I love cute and practical projects like this.
These are such a great idea! We have the traditional memory game but the cards always get bent (or lost)! With this one being more substantial, I feel like it would hold better.
