Update: More pictures of the 4th of July Preamble here.
I love the 4th of July, history, and quotes! Today, I’ve got 3 of my favorite tings all rolled into one free printable. This quote is the introduction to our constitution, the preamble.
I think it is good for kids ot be exposed to the ideas and concepts of our government as early as possible. School House Rock is great way to introduce little ones to these concepts. I LOVE School House Rock, even for high schoolers! Talk to your kids about the preamble and introduce the U.S. Constitution… What does united mean? What is justice? Why do we have a constitution? Why do we celebrate the 4th of July? We live in a pretty amazing place…The United States of America– be proud!
Did you have to memorize this in 7th grade? Do you love the 4th of July? Did you know National Constitution day is September 17th?

So cute! I used to have my fourth graders memorize the preamble with Schoolhouse Rock. My own daughter knows it now too!

Thanks! Just tweeted it and printed it out.
You are so sweet to provide this for us. Love the stars you added.
Have a joyful day!
I'm sure my age is gonna show here, but I can never hear/see/read the preamble of the constitution without having the School House Rock song go through my head. In fact, we used the song when my daughter was in high school and had to memorize it for class. She got extra points for singing it to her teacher. I'm not one for printables, but I'm definitely printing this one up!
