What I wear… everyday

June 22, 2011 By Jamie Dorobek 11 Comments

I enjoy fashion, but would not consider myself very trendy. I like to think I dress cute-ish, but more importantly, I dress comfortably. I enjoy a good fashion blog…i.e. The blonde salad and I want to be Her. I have attempted to do a “What I wear Wednesday” post before, but then soon realize my outfits are…well, not really outfits. ha!Here is what I were everyday…

Typically, I find something I like and stick with it. For instance Target…

What I Wear Everyday

Target Obsession #1

Spring 2008… I started substitute teaching and needed teacher clothes. I wore one of these solid color t-shirts and a pair of Express cropped slacks everyday. Don’t worry, I substituted at different schools each day, ha! At one point I owned at least 10 of these… my collection has dwindled to these 4.

Target obsession #2

Summer 2009… solid color tank tops. I still wear these often, under cardigans…and have many more colors!

Target obsession #3

Spring 2011–v neck pocket tee’s. I have lots. I even have extra white and gray ones in the closet for later! Other people do this, right?! They go on sale for $6 sometimes! My favorite grey Target tee is on sale right now for $7!

Since I live in Texas and it is hot, I recently went on a cutting spree… seriously, I cut off 4 pairs of pants. One pair had a hole in them, and the others just needed a trim! See the hole in the leg?

I also love cotton button downs… with the option to roll up the sleeves AND ones that don’t have to be ironed…

and since I’m always cold, I need one of these lovely cardigans. Wow! I could seriously use a little color in my cardigan selection.

I’ve been wearing my hex but bracelet a lot:
I did just buy a new pair of sandals at Old Navy (branching out…woot woot!) for $4. I’ve been wearing them almost every day…
Here are basically my 6 shoe options for summer:..
I usually only wear one piece of jewelry at a time. Either one necklace or one pair of earrings…
Basically i just mix and match all of the above…like this:
This was a spring ensemble that I wore often…
and that about sums up my boring comfortable, casual style. What’s your style?

You've got to get some Victorias secret Pink tees! I wait for the semi annual sale and get them in every color for $8- soft and the V isn't too deep and they're fab, seriously try one!

Yep. You pretty much summed up my wardrobe too. I wear jeans often. Almost every day, except when it's hot. But even then I still put on jeans in the evenings. With a tee shirt. 🙂

I always love to stock up on basics. There's nothing like a fresh black t-shirt when the old one starts getting faded.

The Target Tees also go well with my "momiform", I have several of the same! I wear expensive jeans, (the only splurge item in my wardrobe) coupled with layered t-shirts most days in the winter, with my favorite Dansko clogs. In the summer, I wear a lot more long flowy dresses with flip flops because it's so dang hot here.

I love this! I agree your style is just like mine, and you aren't the only one who squirrels away extras. Before I was a sahm I worked at the GAP and just before leaving to have my baby I used my discount to buy one of every color Tee and tank! They are never gonna go outta style so why not save the $. lol
