Play-Doh Valentines

January 26, 2022 By Jamie Dorobek 2 Comments

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and making up cheesy Valentine sayings is one of my favorite things! Last year, Maxwell was super into balloons so we did these “Love is in the Air” valentines that were a big hit with his preschool class. This year, Mila is really into making. Making messes mostly, but also coloring, water pouring, and Play-Doh. I found this party pack of 10 Play-Doh’s for $7 and knew these Play Doh Valentines would be a winner for her preschool class.

*There are Amazon affilate links below. I make a small percentage of each sale at no extra cost to you.

Here is what you need to make Play-Doh Valentines

  • Free Printable Valentine– “I like to play with you!”
  • Party Pack of Play-Doh (They come in packs of 10 and this a better deal than I scored!)
  • Cardstock
  • Printer
  • Scissors
  • Elmer’s Tape Runner (Any tape or glue will work, I just love these!)

How to download the free Play-Doh Valentines

Step 1- Download the free printable

Step 2- Print

As for printing, I don’t know about y’all but printing in color at my house never works out that well for me. I actually love our hp printer, but we never have color ink at home. All of that to say, if you have printer problems, consider taking a few sheets of card stock and printing these at Staples or your local print shop. It’s worth a few bucks to me to not fight with my printer.

Step 3- Trim and address

Once you get the free printable printed, cut each circle out around the dotted lines. Then, use the tape runner and stick one circle to the top of each Play-Doh lid. They should fit perfectly in the center of the lid. It doesn’t get much easier than that!

I’m not anti- candy, I just know the kids get so much candy on Valentine’s Day that I like to switch it up! If you are looking for more cheesy Valentine ideas, don’t miss:
