Room Makeover {decorate an apartment}

July 6, 2012 By Jamie Dorobek 23 Comments

Our living room got a complete makeover last weekend for a whoppin’ $134 (that inclues an 8 x 10 rug)!  I was home alone in Florida, starting my new job, while Andy was working in NYC. And this is what happened…

I’m going to write up tutorials for most of the projects, and give you some before and afters… here is my tentative schedule:

  • Tuesday: Room Inspiration (Rug, target pillow, Grand Buddy’s Van Gogh prints)
  • Wednesday: How to sew a pillow (and how to make a feather pillow not stick you)
  • Thursday: Creating Really Awesome Free Trips: Washington, D.C.
  • Friday: Metal table makeover and antlers
  • Tuesday: DIY felt art
  • Wednesday: Wood slice coasters
  • Thursday: Creating Really Awesome Free Trips: Curacau Island
  • Friday: Guest post by my mom and her steel wool coffee table

    I like the outcome. It turned out so great.
    I would say that, decorating an apartment is a lot more easier than doing make over or redecorating a home!
    The difference is huge.

    What is the large piece of art on the wall in the midst of your frame cluster? I love it!

      There are 2 big ones… one is a map and one is recycled wood.
