DIY Bob Ross costume

October 8, 2014 By Jamie Dorobek 31 Comments

Maxwell has a quite a few costume options this Halloween! Y’all, I’ve gone nuts! Costume making for Max baby is so much fun! And I think he likes it too! If you’re new here, this is costume numero 6 for my little man, here are the other 5 baby costumes:

  1. Carrot costume
  2. Koala bear costume
  3. Panda bear costume
  4. Cheeseburger costume
  5. Game boy costume

Last year for Halloween, I crafted us up a fun little family of 3 costume: Bob Ross, a happy tree, and a squirrel. I was pregnant and Maxwell was the squirrel in my tree! So, I reused the paint pallet and the wig and turned Maxwell into Bob Ross!

Here’s what you need for the Bob Ross costume:

  • Brown afro wig
  • Paint pallet
  • Paint brush
  • Long sleeve button down
  • Jeans

Here is Andy sporting the Bob Ross gear last year…

Maxwell loved the hair!

The key to Max’s costumes are props! He loves to play with them (an eat them)! Do make or buy costumes? I’d love to hear…

I know this is an old post, but I love it and who doesn’t love Bob Ross. I still love watching his reruns. Super cute idea and would love it if you stop by and link this idea at the linky party I am co-hosting. I hope to see you there. Enjoy your week.

Too funny! You’re quite creative. And Andy kinda looks like Bob Ross–maybe it’s the hair. My son used to love watching Bob Ross-he called him the painter man–when he was like 4 years old.
